Japan... in a nutshell part 1

Instead of going through my Japan trip day by day, I decided to just highlight the best aspects.
So here we go!
JAPAN IN A NUTSHELL PART 1
I'll post my shopping haul in another post
guh here comes a crap load of pictures! I'll post them a bit smaller since there are so many >.< I think you can click on the pictures to make it bigger? (if not...failll)

We stayed in Shinagawa. Pretty nice area- a little boring compared to Shibuya/Shinjuku, but it worked out really well.

Tsutaya (sp?)! We spent so much time and money here, its not even funny. The drink there is a mango passion blended tea (I think). It was super good and saved me from dehydration a few times haha!

In Tsutaya I found these lovely items~ I was so tempted to buy the Hana Yori Dango (Korean) soundtrack, but it was like 3,000 yen (~$30). Big Bang was doing their promotions for My Heaven/Gara Gara Go. We totally missed their fanmeeting/photo session by ONE DAY. Guhhh...
Oh! We saw Rookies in theaters there! Only understood bits and pieces of the actual dialogue, but it was easy enough to follow the plot to be really really enjoyable. It was so much fun!
Yuu Shirota and Yamanote Yuusukue LOVE!

Shibuya, not doubt, is where we spent most/all our time. The first picture shows an ad for some vampire drama. We caught the last ten minutes of it... cant say its my favorite but the ads were everywhere!
The second picture is right outside of shibuya 109-2 (aka the meeting ground of all the hot men ladies in america dream of). We build up courage and walked up to the top levels (where the mens clothing is) and quickly QUICKLY left after being so intimidated by all the good looking men!

Center gai~
After scattering after the 109-2 overload, we headed to center gai to find the purikura mecha. We were out when all the club promoters were out. One guy stopped us, it went something like this:
Promoter: *wave* Hi!
Me: ............HI! *wave*
Promoter: Hungry?!
Me: *in Japanese* I dont speak Japanese!
Then we left quickly with the guy shouting stuff in Japanese after us.

There was a similar experience in Shinjuku. Some host was waving at us from a taxi. Me, being a doufus, waved back, which pleased the host very much. Then traffic slowed down and we ended up walking right near the taxi as it was taking a turn. They rolled down the window and kept waving at us. I think I continued to wave at them like an idiot haha!
So I got hit on by a host in Japan?

Thats it for now! I'll post another entry with all the stuff I bought!

Japan Day 1

JAPAN DAY 1
Kind of a downer...
so I'll make it brief

Alright here we go!

The plane ride was awful! Absolutely awful! My friend got sick on the plane. Perhaps it was the food? In any case, it didn't quite start out on the best note. At least she got better by the end of that night.

We got to the hotel. Typical small but practical Japanese room. The hotel itself turned out to be very helpful and convenient. More on that in a later post.

There really wasn't much on TV. So we ended up watching the Korean channels more than anything. (Well, except Mr. Brain. I re-named it Mr. Gerbil since he had a gerbil in his pocket).

ISNT THIS KID CUTE? We watched a morning kids program about pokemon and stuff like that. This kid is absolutely adorable. The girl kept getting in front of him and I got angry hahaha~

Well thats all for now~ The first day was pretty depressing, so I might just fast-forward or select good parts to share. What do you think?

Tadaima~

TADAIMA~

Hello everyone! I just got back from my trip this morning. Anxious to hear how it went?
I'll give you a quick little update before I give you the full breakdown of the trip (and all the clothes I bought >.<) I got sick on Saturday and Sunday EPIK(as in Epik High) FAIL. I had some kind of virus that caused me to be very nauseous and I had some crazy anxiety. Besides that and a few other obstacles like my friend getting sick and constant low blood sugar, it was REALLY GOOD.

Shibuya was everything and more than I expected it to be. I've been there once before but this time I got to appreciate it so much more. We went during the 5 days bargain in Shibuya 109. Which was a blessing but also a curse. I was not expecting the craziness that accompanied EVERY shopkeeper shouting at customers and them following me around trying to get me to buy stuff. (I had to whip out some Japanese skill pretty damn fast but it ended up in kind of fail XD).

Also. Shibuya 109-2 was amazing and terrifying at the same time. Soooooooo many good looking guys in one place! We ended up boy scouting from the starbucks across the street for a good couple of hours! lololol.

Well this was just a brief update before I post pictures! I'm so tired ~____~

EVERYONE LISTEN TO

BIG BANG: GARA GARA GO!! (ガラガラGO!!)

CLAZZIQUAI PROJECT: TELL YOURSELF

Japan Tomorrow~

Japan TOMORROW

Crazy right? It definitely is for me.

I worked all weekend (which led me no time or energy to blog >: ). I did however take a few pictures with my crappy cell phone camera of my work while my co worker was on break. I could just feel the security camera going "wtf" while I was taking the picture too haha!

Yep. I'm a barista in a grocery store. I can't complain too much though. For one, its money in the bank for college and I am meeting some pretty cool people that work there. The work is a lot more strain on my body than I thought it would be. I have rheumatoid arthritis so my joints hurt/ache/get stiff easily. Anyway, standing for 8 hours is kind of kicking my ass!

Then I went home on saturday from work and I pulled the espresso machine we have.

ITS A MACHINE OF DEATH
I'm definitely used to just pressing a button and presto! Two shots of perfect espresso pour out. This machine is much more complicated. Plus its ALL metal. So the whole entire thing heats up. The second I try to turn a knob or remove a piece, I burn myself! Sigh.

Oh quick survey. What do you think of the music I have here?

BYE BYE EVERYONE! SEE YOU AFTER I GET BACK. I'LL HAVE LOTS OF PHOTOS!

Creme Brule

I made creme brule today!

It was surprisingly easy. Just 8 egg yolks, 2 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/4 cup ultrafine sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mixed that all together, heated it up on the stove until it hit about 100 degrees Fahrenheit then strained it. Put all that into 7 ramekins that were in pan filled with a little bit of hot water. 25 minutes in a 350 oven. Then burned a top layer of sugar! It was super fun and really quite delicious. Just ask if you want a more detailed recipe!

The other day I had lunch on campus... ugh it was terrible. It was some kind of sweet and sour chicken. I suppose it was worth a try given it was local and provided some kind of asian food.
It was about 90% sauce, 5% chicken and 5% rice that is covered with the sauce. Now I know not to go there again. Oh well~

Well, today was pretty good overall. I didn't think it was going to go very well... a lady was fairly bitchy to me at my salon and I didn't end up getting my hair dyed like I thought (it would've costed $165 o___o). But I got paid today!
I'll post pictures of my work later~

Gosh I should really get packing....

H&M Trip

I just got back from a trip to H & M

Saw some really cute stuff and it took all my willpower to not buy it! Gotta keep thinking about Japan and the stuff I can buy there instead >w<
Lets get to the pictures shall we?

I thought this was such a cute outfit! I love oversized shirts like that. They are so comfy and fashionable too! The high waisted skirt would be a bit short if I actually wore it, but for a legless mannequin, its super cute. I would probably add a belt with a bow or something.

I love biker vests/jackets. This would be so cute with a long tank and leggings with boots. I'll see if I can find something similar in Harajuku for cheap.

I tried on some $15 (!!) pants. They were baggy but still fitted- which I like alot. They were like a boyfriend style skinny jean. Why didn't I buy them?! I'm kicking myself now. Sighhh. Oh and thats my heart purse in the corner. Its dinky and doesn't hold much, but I love it!
(you can also see how short I am.....any guesses exactly how tall I am?)

Thanks for reading!
